2012 Golf Scramble

A picture perfect day was enjoyed by 53 ECFA golfers on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. We had three generations of golfers in one family. The weather could not have been better, the golfing more enjoyable and the fellowship sweeter at the banquet.

After giving away prizes for the day we viewed a Safe Families for Children DVD that was extremely moving. Blake and Christine shared their life adventure with the adoption of Xander and a stirring story of how God called them to work with Safe Families. Steve reminded and challenged us to love our neighbor as God loves us.

The results for our contests were as follows:

  • Lowest Score of 62: Dave & Sandy, John, and Tim
  • Longest Women’s Drive: Beth
  • Longest Men’s Drive: Tom
  • Longest Putt: Jim “Smiley”
  • Straightest Drive: Fred
  • Marshmallow Drive: Dan
  • 3 Closest to the Pins: Dave , Michael, Steve

Hole-in-One and Million Dollar Shootout were sponsored by Zimmerman Ford of St. Charles. Sandy was closest to the pin for the Hole-in-One for a 2012 Ford Focus and Tim won the putting elimination to take the 165 yard drive for one million dollars.

golfingWe wish to express our sincere thanks for all of our sponsors for the Golf Scramble! See you next year on Tuesday, June 18, 2013.

Your support enables us to continue to offer much needed services to individuals, families, and children. If you are unable to attend this event, but would like to be a part of ECFA’s ministry, please see our Giving page for ways you can help.
