Evangelical Child and Family Agency (including Pregnancy Support Services and the Counseling Center) was recently re-accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) for another four-year period. The re-accreditation applies to both the services based in New Berlin, Wisconsin and Wheaton, Illinois.
This accreditation means that ECFA meets or exceeds the highest standards in the field of human services. In the words of COA’s President, Richard Klarberg “Re-accreditation is a tremendous achievement that demonstrates that your organization is recognized as a provider that continues to successfully implement high performance standards and, as such, is delivering the highest quality services to all of its stakeholders. COA is proud to recognize Evangelical Child and Family Agency as one of these outstanding providers.”
Ken Withrow, ECFA’s Executive Director, stated that re-accreditation is a reflection of the commitment of staff and board members to excellence in serving clients in all agency programs – Adoption, Counseling, Intact Family Services, Pregnancy Support Services, and Safe Families for Children. He is noted in saying that, “Excellence is not an accident, but a direct result of the staff’s commitment to the organization’s mission, hard work, skill, and sensitivity to the needs of clients.”
The Council on Accreditation is an international organization that reviews and accredits thousands of agencies in North American and the United Kingdom, providing one or more of 51 different services. Accreditation standards emphasize services that are accessible, appropriate, culturally responsive, evidence-based, and outcome oriented. In addition, they confirm that the services are provided by a skilled and supported workforce, and that all individuals are treated with dignity and respect.
