False Assumptions, Real Experiences

It’s painful for me to hear ideas about adoption that aren’t researched, ideas that are based on false assumptions.

The idea that a child is “given up,” “unwanted,” or “uncared for” is so untrue when you compare it to what is really happening.

The careful planning. The struggle of emotions. The ever present love the birth parents suffer through. I want others to witness these things.

Or, at the very least, sit and think about them.
